The Lavish Style Hustlers is a rap group based out of Oakland,California.The members are Jay Soul,Rel,C-Dog,and J-Moe and in 1993 the group released their first LP"Ridin High"."Pussy Hound",Breaking off Busters,and Indonesia was the groups hit songs."Comin Straight from Oakland" featured the bay area legend Sirgeo who was best known for the hit classic "The Oakland Strip".In 1998 the group with only 2 members,Jay Soul and Rel released a single "Ain't nothin like a Lavish Night" and went on to be featured on the "Heart of Cali Compilation" with their track "Ghetto Child 2000".The group was set to release their Album"Mill Ticket Opportunities" in 1998 but the idea got canceled and it was released under a new title" Legacy" later on instead.After that Jay Soul and Rel decided to call it for the Lavish Style Hustlers and went in two different directions.Rel released his own solo album"I ain't from tha Dirty,Dirty" with the hit song "Party Time" that was produced by Sean T in 2005.Prior to the release of his album Rel released an EP as well and early in Rels career he was in a rap group called O.T.P with group member M.C Cooly G.Prior and during his time to being a member of the group Jay Soul did production with other bay area artist and groups such as A.M.W,The Street Thugs,Twon,The Gov,EL-Dog,3-D,Ski and the Mafia,20 Sac,Hershey Baby,Brother Nature,Dr Feelgood B/K/A Larry Rogers who was a former dancer for Hammer,and many others.Jay Soul then M.C Jay in 1988 released his first record "Death Wish" and soon after released the maxi single"City of a Gangster".He later released an album called"Once Again".He changed his name to Jay Soul and released an EP called"The Producer" along with DJ Doom in 1991.In 2008 Jay Soul called it quits in the rap game and decided to pursue a new dream in Jazz music now under his new name Josef Soul..The Lavish Style Hustlers has left a Legacy that many in the bay still remembers.
