Biography
Southern. California. Metal.
Lead Burns Red is a five piece southern metal band hailing from San Diego, California.
No smoke and mirrors. Simply put; a no frills all out assault on the senses. Lead Burns Red’s sound can be described as a smoldering pot of groove metal with a heap of southern rock/metal for added kick. Toss in a pinch of soulful bluesy embellishments for good measure and there you have it.
LBR is a culmination of seasoned musicians all stemming from various successful acts that have collaborated to form a fresh and unique outlook on southern metal. The group includes singer Grant Walker and drummer Elwin Cox (both formerly of Decompression), guitarists Stephen Aguirre (Rev) and Kris Murray (Silver Side), and bassist Mike Peters. Having collectively played hundreds of shows throughout the Southwestern United States region, LBR continue to extend their following through their self-sufficient approach. This foundation is based upon their relentless touring, promotions, target marketing, and a genuine appreciation for their fans and endorsed supporters.
They recorded an EP in late 2009 with producer Steve Russell (POD, As I Lay Dying, Finch).
