Biography

Lee Wadlinger is an Ohio-based artist. An adherent to the lo-fi recording ethos, Wadlinger self-records his records, typically performing all of the instruments himself. Drawing on influences such as the Beach Boys, the Velvet Underground, Pavement, and Guided By Voices, Wadlinger's music is an eclectic blend of indie rock and pop elements.

Since 1996, Wadlinger has appeared on a number of albums, EP's, and compilations, but his most significant records include the 2000 LP What's Wrong With Me and the 2007 EP Twentieth Century Apprenticeship. What's Wrong With Me evidences a heavy appreciation for 60's rock, especially the Beach Boys. Twentieth Century Apprenticeship, Wadlinger's first record since 2002, represents a move toward more acoustic-driven indie rock.
