when i was a kid i didn't get why grown ups always made such a big deal about dating and being in love and kissing and things of this nature but i think the first time i started to get an inkling that there was more going on under the surface about these activities was when i first listened to leonard cohen

Songs Of Love And Hate и Death Of A Ladies' Man

Imagine writing Hallelujah and it's only your 8th most listened song. Cohen has such a grip on me.

I first heard Leonard Cohen singing from an album which my elder brother borrowed from a friend. It was 1973 and I just started highschool at Newcastle Senior High in what was Natal, a province of South Africa at the time. His music has such an effect on me and I have not stopped listening to it till the day. To me it is beautiful and incredibly gripping music. May Leonard Cohen RIP.

Be prepared for far worse years in the very near future. Think about people like Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, or Neil Young, all of those who are in their late '70s or '80s.

Don’t forget Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel too, I’ll be so sad when we have to say goodbye.

7 years ago the world lost Leonard Cohen. It's crazy how fast time flies. And we remember him, he used to live for music. His legacy will live on forever. Rest In Peace, Mr. Cohen!
