Liv Kristine Espenæs (born 14 February 1976) is a Norwegian singer who has performed and composed songs mostly for various subgenres of heavy metal music. She started her career as a vocalist for the gothic metal band Theatre of Tragedy, where she initially joined as a backup singer in 1994 before sharing lead vocal duties. She left Theatre of Tragedy in 2003. Since 1996, she has lived in Germany and collaborated with the death metal band Atrocity, whose singer Alexander Krull she married in 2003. Together with members of Atrocity, she formed the symphonic metal band Leaves' Eyes in 2003, serving as their lead vocalist until 2016. Kristine has released several solo albums in various genres, with the most recent issued in October 2014 through Napalm Records. She has a soprano vocal range. In 2005, Kristine was nominated for a Grammy Award for her collaboration with Cradle of Filth on the song "Nymphetamine." In 2016, she joined Eluveitie as a session vocalist for several live shows following the departure of their singer Anna Murphy. On 16 April 2016, Leaves' Eyes announced that Kristine was no longer part of the band. In December 2017, she joined her sister Carmen Elise Espenæs's band Midnattsol, initially as a guest on their new album before becoming a permanent member.
