Biography
London born, from an Argentine household, introduced Luca to the cultural influences of Latin rhythms, reflected through Luca’s percussion-heavy beats. He reminisces about listening to Putumayo compilation tapes with his family in the car as a kid, noting the influence this had on him as a musician. Luca’s versatility was formed from the Hip-Hop production of American artist/producer Madlib and trap influences from the UK's brewing underground scene.
The success of "Memories", a collaboration album with J Rhys, lead to the development of JTR with singles including "Scammers Elite" with Dfunds and "Tints On The Greenhouse" with Cal1sto.
Journey to Riches (JTR), formed last year, is a symbiotic collective created to support the artists individually. JTR released their debut EP “Are We There Yet?”, with the first track on the project, “ LONDON '' featured on Spotify’s “New Music Friday '', “Our Generation” and “Fresh Finds UK and IE '' playlists concreting their brand. The group supported Ayrtn’s sold-out headline show in Bristol for their first performance, as well as hosting their own headline show in late November of last year with the focus of supporting local vendors and acts. Following this, JTR plans to expand their brand into different industries with the purpose of cultivating and globalising the up-and-coming UK scene.
