Biography

Lumiere Brother (real name Thanasis Hristodoulou, in Greek: Θανάσης Χριστοδούλου), is an indie pop/rock artist from Athens, Greece.

He was formerly going under the moniker "Victor Lazlo" and he also used to be frontman/composer of the Patras, Greece located band Serpentine. Much to the confusion that can be caused by his name, Lumiere Brother is actually the elder brother of Greek artist Monika .

Following the split of Serpentine (March 2007), in Fall of 2007, Lumiere (under his old moniker Victor Lazlo) started working on his new ideas with producer Ottomo (also producer of Monika's "Avatar") in Fab Liquid Studios.
In between the years of 2007-2009, Lumiere decided that it would be best for him, to finish first his collegial (and not only collegial) obligations and then dedicate his time in his own music. Meanwhile in that time Lumiere was on a "hiatus", but not in a complete way, as he was having some live shows.

Drawing influences from generally different factors (meaning not only music), Lumiere managed to craft his very own piano-pop indie songs for his personal album. Thus making the absence of the guitar instrument very visible from it.

Lumiere Brother's much anticipated debut album Fiction was released on November 2nd, 2009 by Archangel Music.

His sophomore release Twenty One was released in April 2013 by Inner Ear Records.
