Biography
Raised on a diet of wafers and boiled vegetables, Coc first surfaced on the south coast near Bournemouth beach early in 2002, collaborating with local slunge stalwarts The Unright.
He blames a variety of influences for his current state of mind, including the Anticon label, MC Mabon, John Cooper Clarke, Buck 65, Datblygu's David R Edwards, the anti-folk tendencies of the young Beck, The Human League and whatever else floats by at the wrong moment.
Following a move to Manchester later in 2002, he teamed up with his brother, Loopol The Goatboy, recording the highly informative "Space Baby" EP and putting on the first edition of spluttering on/off band night, Group Hug, at The Font Bar off Oxford Road.
Together with Goatboy, he is a founder member of Delicate Hammers, Chorlton's foremost half-hop, lysergic cabaret artistes, though he still occasionally spits his retarded lyrical gristle solo at happenings here and there. He is also rumoured to put together an occasional series of podcasts, entitled "Insidious Junkbox", which he hopes one day will litter his bower with silver.
His first collection, "Zombie Autograph Hunter: Old Skool Drool In Broken Bottles", was released as part of the Reckno 3" CD-R series in June 2009.
