Panecea - you are dead right about the reduction in individuality these days. By the way this is a great track.

@rongarrison @panecea I guess in the 70s, unlike now, there was a prerequisitie that could, um, actually sing. Coupled with a band's unique sound cultivated throughout their youth, cutting their teeth, and bands had unique identities. The prerequisite of being able to sing is now unnecessary owing to autotune etc and the prevalance of producer over musicians. Whereas the great producers of yesteray helped bands accentuate their own sound, these days a producer will adhere to more of a blueprint. That's why we used absolutely no autotune or Melodine on our album - it does force you to be better, improve your technique and brings out the unique tones of each singer's voice.

OK - not Mann top grade 60s pop, and lighter than earlier Chapter 3/Earthband classics, but a catchy enough single.

So dynamic, so optimistic... Remember the times, when rock was young and not so self-centered. Manfred Mann is great!

I want to rock and Roll to this earthy Manfred Manns Davy's on the Road. It sounds like they kinda really managed to express themselves , and their musical ability, wow Smooth, I adore that track. ! Davy had to leave, will he be returning, I never can tell.
