Known as the 'Nightingale of Kosovo' Mara Đorđević was born in Eastern Romania in 1916. She was for many years the soloist for Radio Belgrade.
As a singer of traditional Serbian songs, she is most famous for 'The Songs from Kosovo and Metohija - Pesme sa Kosova i Metohije'.
