Biography

The Marcy Levy Band is a blues project fronted by Marcella Levy, who is probably most famous under the stage name Marcella Detroit as one half of the duo Shakespear's Sister, as well as several solo albums. In the Marcy Levy Band, she returns to her roots as she was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She often sneaked into blues gigs growing up, her very first band played the genre, and she soon after contributed to the Eric Clapton hit "Lay Down Sally".

Other members are Michael Fell on harmonica, Job Striles on guitar, Rick Reed on bass and Max Bangwell on drums, all of which also have a long history with playing alongside blue greats and/or releasing their own work.
