Marjana Deržaj, a popular singer and a legend of Slovene music, was born in 1936 and died in 2005 in Ljubljana. She recorded more than 300 songs and is best known for her performances in slovenian song competition Slovenska popevka and her biggest hit Poletna noč (written by Mojmir Sepe, lyrics by Elza Budau).
