Biography
Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin is a London-based guitarist and founding member of the experimental rock band black midi. He founded the band with Geordie Greep in 2017, playing on every release up to the band's debut studio album 'Schlagenheim' and the spoken-word jam session ' The Black Midi Anthology Vol. 1: Tales of Suspense and Revenge '.
In 2021, Black Midi released a statement from Matt, announcing his temporary depature from the band citing mental health issues. He was credited with songwriting on the band's sophomore album 'Cavalcade', but was not part of the recording process.
Matt has since played with Bo Ningen's Night of the Stick Men live improvisation project in 2022 and 2024. He released his debut solo single, 'Paedophile Ring ' in March 2024.
