even if she's innocent, which i don't believe - the fact that melanie lets her fanbase harass and send death threats to timothy is very concerning. if the allegations are false and timothy really just wants attention, she clearly wasn't/isn't well mentally and needs help. so why would melanie want her accuser's voice to be silent instead of offering therapy or literally anything helpful to someone who is clearly mentally ill? and melanie just lets her fanbase spread fake screenshots where timothy apparently admitted to „lying“, and that's very weird to me. why would you let your fanbase go to any length to defend you? but it fits the narrative i guess. i used to be a fan of melanie, but the fanbase is full of children who get mad if you bring up the possibility of their idol being problematic in any way.

no most fans were teens back when cry baby released which was already a decade ago. trust me if the rumours are true i have zero respect towards them as a person (luckily i never got attached to them anyway) but i genuinely have always liked melanie's music as much as i did back then and there's nothing wrong with that. why has it become a trend to make people feel bad for liking certain albums if they're not in a certain age range?, i mean some people would've grew up listening to cry baby and k-12 so they will be nostalgic to them. also, i'm a production girly, i always adored melanie's sound so i do have moments were i want to re-listen to the old music because of how life changing it was for me back when it released. there are other celebs who are guilty of the same thing or worse but people still obsess over them and make any excuse they could possibly think of for them so why is there no outrage about that?.

thankyou:) thats kind, they'll grow up some day. i've been a huge part of other fan bases in the past and their behaviour embarrassed me at times but because of how much i liked the artists i stayed for years then 1 day i had enough, forced myself to detach myself from the artists and just become a causal listener. spending time away from those communities made me realise how much they messed up my mental health so now a days i keep myself to myself, enjoying the music is as far as i go.
