Melodi Brown was a British 4-member R&B and pop girl group formed in 2002, consisting of Ama Schreyer, Zahra Palmer, Rae Sanniez, and Kelly Mac. The 4 piece girl group promoted their debut single "Naked" during the summer of 2002, however the song was eventually delayed and scrapped altogether, along with their debut album, due to the success of Girls Aloud. The only releases of music by the group consist of promotional CDs and vinyl records, yet several tracks and snippets by the group have made their way online through various unofficial means.
During their short existence, the group worked with several producers and songwriters for their album, however some of the most notable would be Wayne Hector, Bloodshy & Avant, Fredro, Angela Hunte, and Kandi Burruss.
After the group was dropped from their record label, Polydor, a few of the songs intended for the groups' album were recorded and released by other artists, which include:
"DJ" - Jamelia
"Spin That Bottle" - Rachel Stevens (?)
"(I Guess I) Never Knew My Baby" - Tata Young
"My Lover" - Mariana Ochoa (?)
"Do Somethin'" - Britney Spears
