A true, jittering masterpiece. Like understanding the thinking behind a godly computer. Let 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-1 become your holy manuscript.

digitized mayhem, mathematical madness, precise deathening, themes that this album reminds me of. Tomas Haake is God, therefore.

I still remember when I first bought this album. I was a kid just getting into metal for the first time and I had heard nothing like this before. It took me probably 10 full listens to understand what was going on, but once I did, the album didn't leave my portable cd-player for months! The remake is cool, but it just doesn't hit me the same way as the original.

"and definitely more dynamics" Dynamic range meter doesn't think so: Original, Remake

The remake is heavier sounding but the original has more atmosphere imo, and definitely more dynamics. It's nice to have both but if I had to pick one I'd take the original.

We made an album that is influenced from Meshuggah: http://www.last.fm/music/Kalovorot/%D0%9D%D0%B5%D0%B9%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BC%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5

much prefer the re-issue! especially the remastered rational gaze, so fuckin heavy.

I prefer the original, although the re-issue is still awesome. The original is just way more raw and intense in my opinion. Play both of them in your car, full blast. TRUST ME, you will feel aurally abused from the original; heavy to the point of absurdity.

@Tricksy_: I think the remake is actually heavier then the original. They also play with 7 strings on the older one, with 8 strings it gets more brootal and the vocals are pretty hardcore as well :D. If I compare the 2 versions of Closed Eye Visuals.... I would choose the remake. Its soo DEEP.

The problem with the original is that mix is awful. Much of it sounds segmented to the point where the instruments don't sound like they fit together, Essentially, the original sounds like a bonus disc collection of demos (at least to me). It doesn't make the music itself awful, but I always get distracted by it while trying to listen to it.

Tricksy has a point. The original by far has a more molten and raw atmosphere, just listen to Stengah or Closed Eye Visuals. Glints Collide sounds so so so fucking heavy. Though I do like the re-done versions of Nebulous, Organic Shadows and Spasm.

We need to keep the blue album cover in place, people! I know it's not the most important thing, but it's still important to me! :D

I usually listen to the re-issue as well, but this has to be the best metal record ever.

I usually listened to the re-release of it... but really digging the drum sound on the original. Very relaxing and groovy overall
