Michael David Kenneth Read (born 1 March 1947) is an English singer, radio disc jockey, writer, journalist and television presenter. Although far better known for his career in BBC related media, he has had a sporadic music career. As a solo artist, he has released several singles, starting with "Are You Ready" (B-side "London Town") through Satril in 1978. He also served as frontman of The Trainspotters.
