truely sensational, awesome, innovative, minimalist, sensual, imaginative, hypnotic, primal, spatial, modern, electronic wonder of a blues jam on an ancient melody from a pre historic birth of sound

"I think I died listening to this . . . and my soul was collected by the Spirit of Jazz" +1 for the Boosh reference!

Whatever Stanley Crouch's views, I've always been happy to return to "Bitches Brew". It holds up well against the vast majority of contemporary electronica.

I recently read a Stanley Crouch article saying that Miles had abandoned the hallmarks of jazz and described his electric period as garbage. I was surprised that Crouch had no ears, there's more jazz in four bars of this than a lot of what passes for neo-bop. Anyway, Stanley came across as the worst sort of jazz elitist.
