About Miriam

Miriam (mih-ree-yahm), is half Filipino and Black, and was born in Vallejo, CA, in the Northern California Bay Area, in the United States. She was raised overseas in Singapore (6 years) and South Korea (3 years). In addition to singing, she is a voiceover actress and writer. Her voice has been featured in commercials and audio books, and she is a published author.

The Music

Miriam's first album is a mix - just like her! It features club songs, R&B, and pop. The sounds and lyrics reflect her love of dancing, travelling, mixing, and freedom in love.

Musical influences include bossa nova, latin jazz, pop, R&B, soul, and hiphop. Artist influences are Janet Jackson (old school), Toni Braxton, Black Eyed Peas (will.i.am), Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Jill Scott, Ne-Yo, Rachael Yamagata, Jewel, and more.
