Mirs is the music & visual album creation of Los Angeles based auteur filmmaker & artist, Amir Motlagh. Motlagh has treated each Mirs release as its own universe, subtlety changing sounds & concepts through time while maintaining a fiercely singular vision. Much of the recent work has included standalone films & artwork to accompany each release, including (possibly) the first visual album from an entirely independent musician, Canyon followed up with the feature music film Rainbow Season among others.
His music journey spans inspiration from a diversity of artists such as Prince, Radiohead, New Order, my bloody valentine, Burial, Sonic Youth, WhoMadeWho, Suicide, and Daft Punk.
