Biography
The band Mobile (pronounced MO-BI-EL) was formed in 1982 by Rob Loso, Paul Rosemeyer and Tony Smith all childhood friends from Minneapolis. The name came from the song "Going Mobile" by The Who. What started as a garage band hacking away at 80's rock and metal quickly turned into original rock with an alternative flavor, (before there was a such thing as "alternative").
Mobile separated in 1984 as Rosemeyer went to Georgia and Smith went to Texas but reformed in 1990 back in Minneapolis. It was during this second formation that the song writing skills of both Loso and Rosemeyer came into light. While still a garage band at it's core, Mobile played several shows within the Twin Cities and provided back up to Mark Fierer, (who later went on to form Seventh Stone). Loso later released a solo album dubbed "Three Sides To The Coin".
Additional artists that have jammed with Mobile are Jordan Rosemeyer (keyboardist, vocalist) and Jeff Bakke (Keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist), both Minnesota residents. Bakke played on at least one track from the Hold Your Breath release.
