Biography
Serge Bakanev, a.k.a. Mombus lives and works in Murmansk, north-western Russia. As a scientist of a Polar research institute he studies populations of Red king crabs and Northern shrimps in the Barents Sea. In his leisure time he makes music and videos and organizes festivals. He has been making music since 2000 when he purchased his own sampler and PC. From time to time his friends participate in the recording sessions and some tracks turn out to be hybrids between electronic, lounge, synth-pop, folk etc. Inspired by vast diversity of music he couldn't stop to explore different genres but always try to reach own unique sound. As a result of it you can find his music on Russian IDM, easy listening, electro-pop and even folk compilations. After all the main goal of his hobby is to construct bizarre, quirky, fun tunes.
