Morgue started its musical activities around 1990.
It has released its first cd by Subtronic Records/CDC Europe in Germany (distributed in Brazil by Cri Du Chat Disques from São Paulo) titled "the mind is a labyrinth". Thru this cd the band has become pretty known inside the alternative circuit of electronic music all over the world, taking part of several EBM/Industrial compilations and many interviews in magazines about this kind of musical genre.
It played live in Europe (April 1995) at the Stillbirth Festival in Germany(Bremen) beside Last Delay and Evil Sermon; Crewzine Festival in Slovakia (Bratislava) beside Morbid Fancy, K.I.F.O.T.E. and others. It also has done several live action in São Paulo electro circuit at night clubs like Broadway, Hipodromus, Zoster, Columbia, Quorum's, Front, Television, Caís, Urbania, Armageddom, Sound Factory, etc…
Morgue has taken part in many cd compilation like: Taste this 2 (Discordia/Germany), Minimal Synth Ethics 2 (Cri Du Chat/Brazil), Vertigo cd plus magazine (Celtic Circle /Germany), Absolute Control lp (Cri Du Chat/Brazil) and several tape compilation. Its second demotape titled "breaking all the bones" was recorded and produced by, in my opinion the Genesis P. Orridge-like, Apollo IX(Jungle Bells).

The title says all. In this second Morgue's album, the band shows a psychedelic vision to the death process. "Sweet Apology Of Death" is the follower of the acclaimed album "The Mind Is A Labyrinth".
Formed by Rene (voice) and Gil (keys and programming), Morgue cross a new step after *Marcelo M. (guitars, drum, keys) joined the line-up, with a complete new sonority structure with the wellknown background; cold strings, danceable hardbeats, harsh vox, noisy and astonishing atmospheres.
This industrial piece has references from hard electro to dark ambient and crossover, influenced by bands as Skinny Puppy, Haujobb, Download, Nine Inch Nails, Cold Meat stuff and even artists such as Timothy Leary, HR. Giger and David Bowie.
The lyrics explore death in several aspects: "On The Cross" brings a cyberpunk Jesus Christ living at 21st century, dead and crucified in the Apocalypse Day. "Daydreams Of A Serial Killer" was based in "Refugiados" from the wellknown Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado, where serial killers try to purify the human race through their murders. "Nature's Freak" was inspired by a X-Files episode and "Underworld" remains to Dante Alighieri's "Inferno".
