"Anglo-American five-piece Morning Bride hail from the north-eastern U.S (Amity & Alexa) and crappy English seaside towns (the boys), but found each other in the bosom of Mother Hackney, where the band reside and create. The settled line-up was in place by late 2006, just in time to get intimate with each other and the songs, which would soon become 'Lea Valley Delta Blues', their critically-acclaimed debut album.
Recorded, mixed and mastered in just a week (with Ed Deegan - White Stripes, Holly Golightly, Billy Childish etc) and released this month on Letterbox Records, LVDB has already been lauded by the national music press, hailed as 'spellbinding' by Rock n Reel, and 'music which beguiles and enraptures' by Plan B."

Initially put together by Mark as a labour of love, Morning Bride has blossomed into the consuming passion of five disperate souls all deeply committed to their cause. Amity's vocals - variously desribed as 'hypnotic' (Rock n Reel), 'heart-stopping' (Artrocker), 'gloriously beautiful' (The Organ) and 'the girl voice in all your best dreams' (Freq) - is complimented by 'the cash-eque drawl' (Subter) and 'cool, dark, velvety croon of songwriter Mark James Pearson' (Rock n Reel), and soundtracked by a heady mix of cello, bass, slide and lead guitars, organ, melodica and drums.
A frenetic 2007 has already seen Morning Bride tour five european countries, while nurturing a growing fan-base in London and the south-east of England. There is, however, still time to 'Go see them as soon as you can -before everybody else claims they were there first, and we lose them to Jools Holland and Mojo…..' (Artrocker Magazine).
