This one sounds a little incomplete. Some of Mark's masterpieces and some ok ones. I suspect they hadn't even finished producing it properly when it was released

Right?? The Night and Take Me With You are pretty much the best songs out of the whole discography. Never heard nothing convincing me to leave everything behind so much

Great for late night listening, as its name would imply. Such a shame that we lost Sandman at all, but particularly in light of the fact that they'd really added some intriguing new elements to their sound. It's hard to pick a favorite on an album that is so consistently great, but I really dig "Rope on Fire; with its cool droning, vaguely Eastern sound.

For me this album runs out of steam. The title track is the highlight, as nocturnal and smeary with rain as anything i have heard. Top floor.....is also a great number

Like a Mirror and Slow Numbers are so awesome, and of course the title track is beyond anything, especially the sexophone (no typo there).

The Night is dank. Really shows how Morphine could have developed if Sandman had stuck around...kind of depressing to listen to this album in that respect : /

This may be the best album of all time. I wish last.fm could show how many times I've actually listened to it before my ipod died. [artist] Coeur Machant[/artist]
