Biography

Mr jag are a Northern Ireland based pop-rock outfit. They began life in 2006 as an acoustic trio, performing in local churches and christian venues. The original line up consisted of Donegal based frontman, percussionist and guitarist, Andy Lamberton, with Co. Antrim men Gareth Parker and Jamie McMillan on lead guitar and sax/keys respectively. The original line up has since grown with the recent addition of drummer Nigel Doey and bassist Adam Humphreys in the autumn of 2009. Mr jag's style is an upbeat mix of contemporary pop, classic rock, americana and irish trad, sometimes all in the same song. The band operate under an ethos of fun and service and continue to write and perform in an effort to serve the local Irish church.

Their first album, 'Time Captured Thoughts' was recorded in Antrim's Einstein Studios under the direction of veteran engineer Frankie (he worked on the airwolf soundtrack!) McClay and was released independently in the winter of 2007, an ep, 'Esquire' followed in 2009. They are currently working on a new studio album, which they are recording with the help of Mike and Brian Houston in the Hillsborough based Mission Control studio.
