Mt. St. Helens is a post-punk rockband from Chicago, Illinois.
Mt. St. Helens started in 1997 with Quinn Goodwillie on vocals and guitar, Jason Sprague on bass, his brother Michael and Matt Fast on guitars and Ben Geier on drums. Their lineup basically did not change since that. The band started with early gigs including opening slots for the Metroshifter, Elliott, and Planes Mistaken for Stars and made friends with Chicago bands like the Ghost, Haymarket Riot, and Hey Mercedes. Mt. St. Helens have released three full-length albums so far. The latest, "Of Others", was released in 2007.
