Biography
My Brother's Keeper is a super-hero trio from the Bronx who's roots stem from all over the globe. Terrance "Thinker" Kelly's in South Carolina. Olaurewaja "Scholar" Aruwayo's in Nigeria. And Dwayne "Tzo" Stewart's from Jamaica. The strong influence of Hip Hop brought them together in 2001 during some live recording sessions and the rest is history. They have been rocking together ever since. All three of them make beats, produce and spit hot fire. After years of working together and recreation, they decide to write an album for the people that would uplift the spirits of the masses. In 2009 they create the group My Brother's Keeper with members Thinker, Scholar, Tzo, and the unofficial member and longtime friend, Levar "L-Star" McGibbon. Their musical influences range from Prince, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathawya, James Brown, Bob Marley and Chaka Khan to KRS-ONE, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Kool G Rap , Gangstarr, Wu-Tang Clan, Easy Moe Bee, Marley Marl and the list could go on. But now they want to make their own mark, and they believe it starts with helping Hip Hop fans enjoy Rap Music again. "The stuff we want to make transcends time my friend." says Tzo. Their rhymes are vivid verbal expressions meant to help you visualize the message behind every word, and their beats are hypnotic and melodic with the ability to capture the soul and knock pictures of the wall. All in all, M.B.K., aspires to give you their best every time and nothing less. Executing with their full potential so that you hear and feel their thoughts. If you haven't been entertained by the radio lately or your favorite artist, they understand. My Brother's Keeper is here to save the day.
