Biography
2010 - 2017
Since forming in 2010, Melbourne four-piece rockers, My Echo have been making strides in the
Australian music scene with their raw and punchy songs, continuous touring and sheer persistence.
Packing sweaty rooms around the country on the back of their 2011 debut release ‘The New
Approach’ EP and digital single ‘Do or Die’, and supporting numerous Aussie long players Bodyjar,
Shihad, Trial Kennedy and King Cannons - the band are set to storm into 2014, armed with their
upcoming and follow-up Self-Titled EP release.
Recorded with local producer, Hadyn Buxton (Blueline Medic, Trial Kennedy) at Melbourne’s iconic
Sing Sing Studios, with a clear focus to capture the band’s revered live energy - Buxton opted to
track live to tape.
“Recording live to tape was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences we have had as a
band to date”, recalls vocalist Brenton Perry. “There is obviously no room to make mistakes and it
made us tighter as a group”. The reward is 6 tracks of high-energy punk infused Rock ’n’ Roll.
With the first single ‘Black Water Blues’ already receiving backing from Triple J Unearthed and
helping the lads notch another sold out show at Melbourne’s The Workers Club, it is full steam ahead
from here for My Echo, as they unleash their second single ‘Lonesome City’.
My Echo released their debut album, Brothers, on the 3rd of March 2017.
My Echo played their final shows on the 1st and 2nd of September 2017 at Ding Dong Lounge in Melbourne.
