Devastating…..like a cross between mid period NEUROSIS with sprinklings of DYSTOPIA, INITIAL STATE and newer bands like BORN DEAD ICONS. When labels usually spout that kind of comparison bullshit, its wise to take it with a pinch of salt, but when you've never heard of a new band, how do you alert those into the kind of hardcore that levels buildings? How can a band be heavy, yet not metal? How can a band invoke an atmosphere that is defiant, utterly fucking pissed off and intensely dark with a sense of forboding at its very core? How can this kind of hardcore be described? Must the comparison be made to mainly american bands? Has the "european" scene (at very least) not had enough of playing "second fiddle" to this kind of mentality?
My Name Is Satan has the hooks, the power and the delivery to stand on its own two feet (or maybe that should be cloven hooves?) and surpasses such lazy comparisons. Past/present members of The Kabinboy, Jobbykrust, Runnin' Riot, Debt & The Dagda. (split release with Control)
