Biography
Nadir is a Spanish Gothic Doom band. One can be sure that there is still something going on in the underground, even in Spain, a region that never was a centre of metal in previous times. Nadir originates of the Southeast of Spain and exists of six capable musicians. The music itself from Nadir is a fine surprise and the various vocals of Vicent Riera are even without a foreign accent; surely not an evidence in the South of Europe. After one demo Nadir released a full length album 'Fall From Grace' in 2000 and now we have a new MCD 'Big Open Wound', good for 25 minutes.
Sick goth doom metal, that's how they describe their music themselves. In any case, it is clear in a song like 'So Tired' that Vicent admits Peter Steele as his big model. He even succeeds in growling deeper than the New York king of goth.
