Ruth Slattery is the woman behind Native State. Starting out with the band Djinn then moving to a shared house in Manchester with other artists & musicians, including Damon Gough who was the first to find success as Badly Drawn Boy, Ruth set up her own recording studio to focus on her songwriting. Native State is the result.- a unique sound with strong melodic songwriting.
'Something for your ears…' debut CD was released October 2007 through DreamTree records and also available on itunes/napster/rhapsody/amazonmp3
A new EP, ‘Chameleon’ was released in 2008 – available on itunes and all other download platforms from July with a physical release street date of 17 September.
