Never Give A Goat The High Ground is a noise-rock band from Somerville, MA. NGAGTHG formed in January 2011 after the disbandment of the Allston, MA art-punk band The High Seas. The band's sound is derived from influences in post-punk, experimental, and indie rock music. Live performances focus on rhythmic structure and sound textures, and most sets feature instrumental songs.
In 2013, NGAGTHG released their first recorded tracks, the EP T.I.N.A. (There is No Alternative) on the Jamaica Plain, MA-based label Fabrik Recordings. The label releases music digitally in conjunction with hand-screened T-shirts with QR Codes for downloads. The band puts a high emphasis on a DIY ethic - the T.I.N.A. EP was co-engineered, mixed, designed and screenprinted by NGAGTHG.
Members were formerly associated with the bands The High Seas, The New Dumb, and Archelon.
