So, having just seen them perform several songs from the album live, they do work really well. I still think the album on the whole is kind of weak, but Tribal was high energy and Shoemaker was marvelous with the ending.

Tribal was the only song I liked at first listening. It kinds of remind of the Once and DPP eras. It’s the heaviest song here

Um daqueles discos que você precisa ouvir, ouvir e ouvir para absorver, entender e depois amar <3

A few days ago I decided to give this album another try, but still I can't get into it. I really don't understand how they can have one of the best metal vocalists and yet she sounds so wasted in both albums they've released so far. I miss that Floor from After Forever and ReVamp whose vocals were full of power and energy.

Só gosto da parte do coral que tem em Music, pq lembra o Nightwish antigo. O resto eu achei esquecível. A real é que nenhuma vocalista inspira o Tuomas como a Tarja.

They have arguably one of the best vocalists in the business in the band, and for the second album in a row, they have squandered her talent. The album itself is not my favorite but I don't hate it - I wish everything about it wasn't so subdued.

This is a really great album, IF you like Nightwish their more celtic sound. I do, so I love it. Imaginaerum is my favourite Nightwish album and this reminds me of it. However, I can imagine people not liking it, especially the 'hardcore Nightwish fans'. It's a much more mature album they've ever released.

It is over a year now, and this album have found its place in my playlist... in the "Atmospheric New Age" background music playlist. Seriously, instrumental parts blend very well alongside David Arkenstone and the likes, when you need a quiet, relaxed background music rather than any metal. Never expected Nightwish to end up there.

Obviously their worst album ever! So weak. This doesn’t even sound like them at all.

Hoping they play "Shoemaker" and "Pan" when I see them in October, if that show's even happening. I'd like to hear "Endlessness" too but that entirely depends on who's replacing Marko...

Not just the best Nightwish album so far, but one of the greatest pieces of music in a long time. A year later and I am still dicovering new things. A year later and I often still get blown away by it.

There's a doom influence in Endlessness, but I wouldn't say it characterises the album.

Coitada da Floor, não alcançou o teto da sua capacidade nesse álbum (sem trocadilho infame)

Concordo. Amo a Floor mas ela ñ encaixou bem com a banda. Acho que mais por culpa do Tuomas do que tudo

Absolutely amazing, fresh and inspirational album! Good job! Way better than EFMB

The second part just sounds like a mediocre film score (though I only listened to it once so I suppose my opinion could change), but the first part of the album is wonderful. As far as my taste goes, it's by FAR the best and most interesting album they've made after Once. Very atmospheric as well, and I always like that.

Too light, too easy, too weak and boring. Only "Tribal" and "Endessless" got something inside of me.

It will be not so bad if it wasn't be the Nightish. Just a typical gothic/sympho/melodic recording. So it's really boring, disappointing and secondary material, and even worse than disappointing GSOE (with Floor it outght to be cooler that even pop-heavy-metallic Imaginaerum (get shivers every time remembering Floor's Ghost Love Score performance in Buenos Aires @ 2012), but it isn't; DPP and Imaginaerum sounds good with signs of life from Olzon, GSOE sounds plastic and dull). Hardly can find two-three memorable songs here. As the fan of NW since 2004, today I'm totally pissed off by latest "works" from band. Last acceptable record was Imaginaerum.

Please correct the title of track 15 - it should be "Quiet as the SNOW", not "SHOW" ;)

not designed to be digested on a single listen most bands at this stage sell out, nightwish go all in. its not an immediate grabber but being a proghead, never judge an album after one listen. those that wanted a floor album but not the floor they expected. rather than high note belters, she scores 10 on vocal gymnastics. if robert fripp could sing, he would sing like floor on human nature. the prior album had a very under stated production to where it took a live performance to bring out the heat, this album has the heat that i have doubts if they can pull off this live. the other notice improvement was that they unleashed the beast behind the skins, kai hahto. if original drummer brought a john bonham boom, kai brings a bill bruford sophistication. some weird time sigs here and some extra heavy percussion as well. the second disc is more like two steps from hell than anything. some of it is lovely, some of it is just ok. a brave attempt.

It's good, but not "Nightwish good". It's pretty and pleasant, but nothing beyond that. [3]

Extraordinary and fantastic new album. I fancy that it is very progressive, experimental and has a soundtrack feeling. (OST). I don't mind at all, that is somewhat less symphonic power metal. That means the band is progressing.

This is the album I've been waiting to hear since Floor joined the band. It feels way more inspired than EFMB, less rushed maybe.

This is a really different album for Nightwish. I think it's amazing! Loved all the tracks. I don't care if it's not as "bombastic" as the past albums. They have 8 other albums, such a long journey. So it's always time to shake things up and change! Especially 'cause they always keep the quality brilliance in what they do! And plus, what a beeeautiful album, so sensitive!
