Never heard this song before, wow it's incredibly powerful..... Been there done that with this kind of shit.. Definitely not a good thing to be listening to after a breakup, and I'm glad I wasn't familar with this song the last time I went through something like that.......

'The First Days of Spring' is just miles better than 'Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down'.

i love walking at night alone through the empty streets in the rain listening to this song and smoking cigarettes. i don't think there's anything better. so perfect. i think his voice sounds great, so emotional and it goes very well with the lyrics and meaning of the song.

I think this actually works with voice. It seems passionate. It may not be their best, but it's still very good.

One night I slept with music on. suddenly I semi-woke up to the beginning of the song. In my state of almost dreaming I knew it was the soundtrack to some random movie. But it was beautiful. Then he began singing. I fell asleep again. The next day I found the song, now I always fall asleep to it.

the imperfection of his voice makes it more real and raw. it gives the music much MORE emotion. so, so beautiful.

His singing is terrible in this; it totally detracts from the emotion of the music. There's much better songs.

One of my favorite Noah and the Whale songs. Slow and a bit depressing, but really really lovely.
