Biography
N.O.N. (Now Or Never) is an American rapper and member of the Tribe of Levi (from Sacramento, California, US). He was born in Louisville, Ky. and grew up in Saint Petersburg, Florida. At the age of 7, N.O.N. and his brother Pharaohciou$ would regularly chant on the mic over "riddims" with family & friends. They lived in South St. Petersburg, Fl. until '94 before they headed west to Houston, Tx. After a year in Texas, they move to a small town called Yuba City, California. He continued to practice rapping and linked up with Poor of the Tribe Of Levi. In 2001 he moved to Sacramento, Ca. and experimented making Hip-Hop with the Cave crew. The Cave crew introduced N.O.N. (then known as The Average American Slave) to making beats using shareware computer programs. In 2005 he, Poor, and MICJordan created the Tribe Of Levi. Together they have rocked shows, made albums, mixtapes, and fans.
NON started rapping as a kid. People would come over his uncle’s house and chant on the mic, which inspired him & his younger brother to try. In '95 he met Poor who was already doing shows. They teamed up at school dances & later became members of The Cave, a Sac underground crew. He & Poor continued working together & met ENS aka Mic Jordan. Since then assisting in the Tribe, they've made mixtapes and done scores of shows. NON also performs and records with an experimental hip-hop crew called Forms In Flux. His solo debut, "SyNONymous," is coming out soon.
