Born as Christiana Twene in Kumasi, Obaapa Christy (formally known as Christiana Love) is a praise and worship singer. Her uniquely deep voice and hoarse tone has helped her have more hits than any other gospel artist and is an icon in her scene.
Obaapa Christy got her original 'showbiz name', "Christiana Love" from her ex husband Love Kweku Hammond who is the leader and founder of the Life Power Miracle Church, Odorkor, Accra.
She has won several awards for her motivational and spiritually uplifting songs including 3 at the 2007 Ghana Music Award and a National Award honours in 2008.
