Oh, Antarctica is a post-hardcore band which was formed in the summer of 2008. They are currently based in various small cities around Salt Lake City, Utah.

In October 2008, the band went into a local Utah studio called "The Lounge" to record their first 7 song EP titled "We Aren't The Costumes We Wear". The band decided to get their artwork for the EP done by Chris Moore at Zero Art. By May 2009 the band had all the songs recorded, artwork done and hard copies of the EP printed. The band also wanted to do a release of their EP onto ITunes, so they decided to wait until July 9, 2009 to release their hard and digital copies out to the public. By the time the EP released on its confirmed release date, the bands fan base practically doubled.

The band then began getting onto bigger shows, rather than playing local band showcases. They have played with bands such as I See Stars, Asking Alexandria, For The Fallen Dreams, Of Machines, Oceana, Fear Before, Memphis May Fire, In:Aviate, This Time Next Year, Evergreen Terrace, etc.

After talking to many of the bands that they have shared the stage with, the band decided to take a break in November 2009 and use all the advice the bands had given them. They are currently writing new songs, working on stage performance to make sure the next show they play will blow away the entire crowd and also possibly setting up a 1 or 2 week tour for sometime in 2010 to the west coast.
