Biography
On Black Waves (formerly The Apollo Programme) is a five-piece band from Rotterdam, Holland. With their own unique blend of pop, indie and post-hardcore they thrive on creating and performing up-tempo, quirky yet catchy songs.
Originally founded by Marlou, Aram and Willem in 2006, it wasn't until ex-Wagtale members Michiel and Vincent joined forces again in 2009 that the band finally were ready to concentrate on writing songs.
In april 2009 they recorded 3 songs in the Independent Recordings studio, with help from engineer Quintijn Verhoef. In june 2009 our track 'Hospital' was featured on the 3rd installment of the 'Planet Heartbreak' compilation series released by Stuck In A Day Records.
2012 will see the release of their first full length album on Thin Paper Sails, recorded in october 2011 in the Mailmen Studio in Utrecht by Martin Beusker.
