Biography
Origami Girl initially debuted as EIGHTXNIGHTS on the Dream Catalogue label. Her hard hitting Vaportrap helped innovate the genre, and expand on the Vaporwave format. As EIGHTXNIGHTS dropped the sample based producing style, Origami Girl came to be. Joining forces on the Virtual Dream Plaza label in 2018 (along with Dream Catalogue locals: t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 & Golden Living Room), Dreampunk & Ambient music was explored further, with Origami Girl bringing a mix of new age funk as well as a harsher techno edge, depending on the album. Since then, she has had numerous releases on PLUS100 Records and No Problema Tapes, among others.
