Biography
The 1st 15 seconds of “I’m All Yours Now” tells why MTV-NYC R. Hendix said “great voice”.
Ouleen has drawn comparisons to Kelly Clarkson, Adele and Tracy Chapman, but the sound is purely Ouleen.
“From the moment I picked up the guitar, I found my songwriting partner. I’d always written on piano but with the guitar I discovered my musical voice” says Ouleen. “Singing had always come easier but for the type of career I want, my songwriting has to be top notch”.
Driven by her never ending obsession, Ouleen traveled the world in search of her musical voice; creating former band (Wendy St. Kitts), going solo, writing songs and even abandoning music temporarily. Influenced by Coldplay, P!nk, Barbara Streisand and Joan Armatrading, Ouleen crawled back to music. On the way she received rejection like a cup of tea -saying thank you and asking “how can I get better”.
It was in Northampton, UK, where Ouleen found her musical voice and where she writes the songs she’s lived. Her solo performances have been helping to spread the word about her immense talents. Hannah Faulkner of Wildfire Sessions said “brilliant voice!”
