Biography
PTA are Chris Headington (sodadreamer), Mark Kelly, Mike Plews and Ben Taylor, a four-piece stoner, alternative rock band from Manchester, UK.
Originally under the moniker Porn Beach, with original drummer Ed, the band played occasional cover sets at an open mic night in Sale. Ed left for university in Leicester, and was replaced by Phil Whitman, ‘a beast of a man with arms the size of barrels and eyes of pure menace’.
The first two gigs with the new line up were for the YGG Battle of the Bands competition in 2003, which PTA won.
Whitman also left the band in 2004, replaced by former Saucerman and Bonebox drummer Ben Taylor.
Their last release was EP Greedy Gonzalez, recorded over eight months and released in 2005.
