Biography
PanAm is threepiece indie rock band from Auckland, New Zealand. After getting their start playing garage-rock-inflected covers of Nirvana and Black Sabbath, PanAm was signed to Flying Nun, the legendary NZ indie label, in 2001. To date they have released an EP ("New Concepts In Sound Recording," 2002) and a self-titled full-length (2003).
PanAm's "thrash garage trash neo punk sound" has been described as: "… more of a dirty, bitchin, fucked-up indie rock freight train, paying homage to the early pioneers of the art as well as perverting the genre for new generations".
