Biography
Paracutá was formed in 2010 by a group of NYU students who wanted to jam and record. Mixing elements of rock, pop, indie, and latin, the music reflects the diversity of the band, whose members hail from points as far as Peru, and as close as the Bronx. The band performed its first show on July 4, 2010 and has steadily built a loyal following on the Lower East Side, playing venues such as Arlene's Grocery, Pianos and the Local 269.
