i just love how the single mix is basically just variations on the title of the song over and over, almost no break from it (except for the solo-less solos!) it's amazing how beautiful they make it

the pacing on the single mix is just so right. if you're gonna make a pop song relentlessly repetitive, the pacing has to be perfect

tbh the single version was such a perfect summer festival song, esp in 2012-2013 when edm just seemed way more fun and summer ready. would give anything to have that sound be back

Each use of the word "spending" plays the role of one of the four seasons. However, spring (metaphor for creation, reincarnation and other beliefs that are the basis of religion) is discriminated. In the verse <<Spending all, spending, spending, spending all my time, so loving you forever>> the two "all" are placed in such a way that they suggest the Solstice and Equinox grow insequential (God loses power against Satan, chaos triumphs over order); It vaguely tells the story of the myth where "Easter" was stolen from Astaroth (originally known as Ashtar). This satanic holiday coincides with the Vernal Equinox of spring when day and night are of equal length. Sure, the song can also be interpreted as a love song if you pay close attention the lyrics.
