Co-leader of 80's jangle-pop band the db's with Chris Stamey. Holsapple continued the db's after Stamey's departure and the reunited with Stamey for three albums: (MAVERICKS) in 1991, (HERE AND NOW) 2009 and (OUR BACK PAGES) 2020. He was an auxillary member of OUT OF TIME-era R.E.M. In the mid to late 90's, joined with Susan Cowsill (Cowsills), Vicki Peterson (Bangles) and others to form Continental Drifters. Holsapple also released two solo albums: (OUT OF MY WAY) in 1997 and (GAME DAY) in 2018.
