Phil Western (August 12, 1971 – February 9, 2019) was a Canadian musician based in Vancouver. He was a founding member of the bands Download,
PlatEAU, Frozen Rabbit, and Off And Gone.
Western was also engineer, producer and operator of Yellow Door Studio
With a background in programming and writing music, he also worked with Beehatch, Hello World, and Skinny Puppy. He was engineer for many artists, and writer of several releases on labels such as Exist Dance, Harthouse, Map, The Record Company and others.
