Phlocalyst, whose real name is Michiel De Vleeschhouwer, is a Flemish producer based in Germany, where he also works as a classical trumpet player. With a background in orchestral music and a deep-rooted passion for jazz and hip hop, he has gained recognition for his contributions to the lo-fi jazzhop genres. His music has garnered millions of streams on various platforms including Spotify, Tidal, and iTunes.
Michiel De Vleeschhouwer, known by his stage name Phlocalyst, was born in Sevilla and is currently residing in Munich, Germany. His musical journey began at a young age, starting trumpet lessons at the age of 5. He nurtured the dream of becoming a professional trumpet player, a dream he eventually realized. Alongside his career as an orchestral trumpet player in Munich, he also dedicates his free time to producing and performing beatsets.
