definitely pink floyd's most underrated album, it's so ridiculous that people stop appreciating a fantastic album like this just because of a tantrum

Album is Great imo but let's not kid ourselves... all the floyd albums are not really "floyd" albums past the wall

Final Cut was more hated back in his time. AMLoR is more hated for not havin the Roger Waters 'signature' on the lyrics (which is the main reason why he got really arrogant and even kicking Mr. Wright on the making of The Wall) and for the R.W. vs D.G. phase of the band. The Final Cut are just The Wall demos that feels like R.W. solo album, Momentary Lapse feels more P.F. than Final Cut. Dont get me wrong, both are still weak compared to the 1993 Division Bell, for example.

Bad but better than Roger Waters creaming over his own ego and becoming a dictator on the much worse "The Final Cut".

This album is cheesy, but I'd much rather listen to this over The Division Bell.

While musically perfunctory ahead of bands with better critical notices short of The Joshua Tree but I know only half of the songs on that. I remember every bit of this, good bad or indifferent compared to certainly Wish You Were Here (and it’s own personal resonances) or even The Division Bell which is a superior effort in comparison even to the recent remix which brought the songs a bit more to life but not with the kind of depth TDB has for me.

Man, many of y'all in the comments should learn to enjoy things instead of being judgemental, The Terminal Forest is progressive enough for me to vibe to it and call it a PF track Lile, I am no expert, but man

Looking at your profile, I see why you wouldn't like those albums. More is an interesting album, Ummagumma is a underrated classic. Final Cut is a great B sides of epilogue to The Wall. However, looking at Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, that album is just awesome. It was between The Final Cut and that which Roger wanted to release under Floyd.

yall hatin, I love this album. love how cold it feels, the solos are top notch and gilmour is so calm on it. its not crazy with the concept like their best stuff but it really doesn't take away from how special it sounds. would love to see more revisionist history on it idk. on a really good day 10 years ago id have it in my top4 PF projects

I have tried as far as I can remember to enjoy Pink Floyd, and I can truly say this album is the one that caught and held my attention.

Great album. I realize that the production seems to be its Achilles' heel for many a PF fan, but I really don't mind it. Awesome songs, catchy, beautiful. Floyd could do no wrong, doesn't matter who was in charge.

This is actually my least favorite Floyd album. It's still a good album but I feel the cheesy 80s production really drags it down. That said, it does have some of Gilmour's best solos, and "Learning to Fly", "On the Turning Away" and "Sorrow" are some of Floyd's finest moments.

No, I haven't, I'll be sure to check it out. Is it a substantial upgrade from the original mix?

My 2nd favorite PF album, behind Meddle. It's the first PF album I purchased on CD, rather than vinyl LP -- the week it was released -- as my turntable had just broken. In fact, now that I think of it, this was my first CD by any artist, ever. Bought a CD player, the same day, just to play it. It was a while before I repaired the turntable, and at least a week before I bought more CDs, so this CD got quite a bit of play in my house.

Great songwriting, lame production. Still good shit as far as I'm concerned. On the Turning Away to the end is pretty stellar.
