Biography
Pocket Armageddon is a hardcore punk band hailing from Berlin, Connecticut, the heartland of Connecticut. Pocket Armageddon began with a couple of notebooks full of bad lyrics and under the name "Heartbreak" in late 2006. In its infancy, Pocket Armageddon was meant to be a metal band and little else. The slow years that followed were not kind to this mission, as its lineup (and its name) was in constant flux. The only members that have remained constant throughout Pocket Armageddon’s existence are Andy “Slick” Newton and Brian “Lesmes” Lesmes. 2011 found them finally assembling a stable lineup, with guitar duo Alex Bugella and Marco Vernacatola, as well as bassist Joey Termine, joining the PA crew. With its “metal-only” focus mostly removed since its “Heartbreak” days, Pocket Armageddon’s sound is an amalgamation of its members’ many interests: hardcore punk, psychedelic rock, alternative, heavy metal, and the flavors of the local indie scene are all featured in varying amounts. Although currently in search of a drummer, the band is in the process of writing a demo to be released in 2012.
